past projects
Our portfolio reflects a considered approach to landscape design — where beauty, function, and buildability come together. Every project is tailored to its site and designed to perform over time, creating outdoor spaces that feel natural, refined, and timeless.
One of our largest collaborative landscaping projects to date! This beautiful new house was a new build coastal home. Our client had engaged us to help with the sloping block, help with local stormwater drainage onsite and have a flowing landscape from the large entry to the backyard pool area. On this project we were engaged to:
Produce high quality concept design plans
Quote and tender out the civil works
Detail, sourcing, engineer the backfill for the project
Project manage from start to finish
Plant and install custom core 10 steel edging
Coastal native garden
Dudley, NSW
Big Shoutout to Clover Landscaping for helping with the Civilworks and install on this project.

This coastal design project transforms the property at Bar Beach into a thriving, salt-tolerant landscape tailored to its unique environment. Focusing on sustainable growth and resilience, Urban Botanica Co. has developed a comprehensive planting and soil management strategy to ensure this garden flourishes year-round. The project approach balances aesthetics with the harsh realities of coastal conditions:
Tailored Ecosystems: The garden is divided into distinct zones, each receiving custom soil amendments to suit specific plant needs—from hardy coastal natives and lush tropical species.
Structural Integration: Design elements include elevated, lightweight fiber glass planter boxes and pressure-treated timber frames designed to withstand salt spray, high winds, and intense UV exposure.
Resilience & Health: To promote long-term success, the design incorporates professional irrigation systems and proactive soil pH balancing, shifting existing sandy loam and compacted soil profiles into nutrient-rich, free-draining environments.
Coastal Character: The landscape features a curated mix of native shrubs, creeping grasses, and rockery elements that blend seamlessly with the modern architectural style of the home.
Project Feature
Shortland, NSW
We were engaged to resolve drainage, access, and safety issues on a sloping block near the wetlands in Shortland. Overland flow was contributing to moisture beneath the home, while the entry was dark and unsafe for everyday use.
The works included timber retaining walls with integrated subsoil drainage, AS-compliant stairs to improve access, and a curated selection of Australian native plantings chosen for slope stabilisation and low maintenance. An automated Rain Bird irrigation system supports long-term plant health.
The result is a safer, more open entry, improved water management, and a resilient landscape that adds value and can be enjoyed daily by the family.
